Just last month, my husband and I, after having slept in the same bland bedroom with neutral-colored wallpaper, unfeeling furniture, and laughably dull décor for five years, finally made the decision to make a change. Our first task: choosing the blinds. My artsy-chic friend told me about a nice little place called Manchester blinds. I’m by no means an interior decorator and neither is my husband, but we knew what we liked when we saw it. The great thing was there was so much of it to see, thanks to the wide selection. There were even styles I never even knew existed, and I eagerly rushed from one location to the next. In the end, my husband and I settled for a very regal looking set of blinds that now ushers in the morning for us quite nicely. Now, we can’t wait to see what to do next.

Jim and Jane had been dating for a year and a half when they moved in together and bought themselves a new bed. Before then, they alternated sleeping at one or the other apartment. they both had a very small beds. The small beds made Jim and Jane sleep close to each other, both feeling the warm of the other’s body radiating into their skin, pushing back the coldness of night.
They were very excited when they went to the store and picked out on of the king size beds to bring into their new home. They were also very excited the first night they got to sleep in their new bed. But neither Jim nor Jane slept well that night. They were both cold all night long. They soon realized that in their excitement for more space, they had created a cold valley between them, which they fixed the next night.

One week from today, I will be celebrating the marriage between by wife and I. We met in high school, started dating in our senior year, and continued dating throughout our individual four years of college. After we both graduated college, I proposed to her on our dating anniversary. She accepted my proposal without hesitation. We married six months later in a wonderful ceremony performed before our friends and family.
Next week is the one-year anniversary of our wedding. To celebrate this special occasion, I have decided to do the “typical” by sending my wife flowers at her work. Although sending flowers on an anniversary is considered cliched by some, I know that when she receives her flowers, her face will light up.
To help me, I have hired the expertise of a local Harrogate florist. I do not know a lot about flowers, so having the help of a professional has made the process much easier. After spending an hour at the shop, I created what I believe to be the perfect bouquet to send to my wife.

I don’t like the concept of sleeping on double beds in a hotel, but when I told my boyfriend, he broke up with me. At first I was perplexed about why my view bothered him, but then I finally realized that he was interpreting my perspective as class elitist, snobbish. In his mind, my antipathy towards the double bed concept was proof that I was too selfish and stuck up to try to save money for our high school graduation trip. Everyone wanted to go somewhere expensive and “exotic” that required cutting costs by foregoing individual rooms with king-sized beds. And I guess my preference for the latter type of room is a manifestation of my sense of entitlement, but I do believe I deserve the very best. My parents raised me like that.
